-Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) :
Teaching method to introduce the study of the relationship between genes and certain traits such as allergy to diseases or other traits. In this method , the big group of people for small variations -that is said them single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) - will be considered by total studing.

The subjects will be covered in this workshop include:
-Familiarity with genotyping data based on SNP chip(Human, animal and plant data)
- Designing GWAS experiments based on the study population and its traits
- Convert data format to Plink format
- Principles of quality control of phenotypic and genotypic data in R and Plink
-familiarity with some software and packages for doing GWAS
- Using real data for GWAS analysis
- All kinds of corrections for multiple testing issue
- Drawing QQ-plot and Manhattan plot graphs and interpreting the outputs
- post-GWAS experiments(analysis of the acquired genes collection)
